So apparently, according to the BBC budget calculator thing, we will be £420 odd quid a year worse off, and that doesn't include the extra 44 quid a month they want in pension contributions a month for the privilege of working an extra couple of years to get a grand or so less a year of pension.
So lets call it £900 a year to get £1000 less pension that I will statistically die before being able to claim because I had to work longer.

And let's not mention the proposed extra hours teachers might be expected to work (for no extra pay, but we are used to that I guess), no notice inspections and performance management targets to be linked to a new fast track dismissal process.

I did it, I actually rode my bike! Seems like a while (it isn't really) but was great to be out and just grind out a few miles. Still single speed as I just haven't made time to rebuild the EX9 and, frankly, SS hasn't been nearly as limiting as I thought it and my fitness combined could be.
You know Rowsley Bar near Darley Dale/Bakewell? Up that with one gear was bloody hard work but achieved.
Really need to sort out my front brake before next ride though. Dryer trails, higher speeds... nothing too dicey yet but I can see it on the horizon and am certainly not taking a risk like that with the new family addition on its way in less than a couple of months...
Lovely night for it though, twilight through night ride. Awesome :-)
