Ah, you have found Google+ then!

Ah, you have found Google+ then! I love it here, although it is more about interests for me than keeping in touch. Much prefer it to Facebook, cleaner and a bit more controllable :-)

On a sperate note, Lily is still carrying her camel about, it's got a handle see :-) And the art/writing kit has been most useful in the campervan, so thanks again, was good to see you both.

First crop of the year, well, at this house, well since the kids were born... In fact it's pretty much the first crop (bar one lettuce kit) EVER! tasted good too :-)

We have just made a little video to showcase some of our holiday activity. Have a look, it´s over here. What do you think, does it make you want to visit?

Today we went from an unopened box just after lunch, to a little girl who can pedal, and balance her bike before coming home for tea! On several occasions she was pedaling and balancing simultaneously, briefly ;-)

If she gets the hang of this quickly who knows what kind of rides she will be putting in. She was happily putting in 3-5 miles a day on holiday (with the trailer as an ever present, ever ready bail out if she wanted it before you ring social services!)

Looking forward to finding out :-)

OK, so my commuter/hybrid thing also does duty as child hauler/trailer tower and stopping is a royal p.i.t.a.

OK, so my commuter/hybrid thing also does duty as child hauler/trailer tower and stopping is a royal p.i.t.a. as I need a tree or something to lean on.

Anyone recommend a decent, sturdy stand that will cope with a trailer and/or single pannier. Maybe a bipod?

Yesterday's jaunt.

Yesterday's jaunt. Even the fire roads are a bit loose as we nearly found out to our cost but Emily managed about 3/4 of this ride on her balance bike. Although we questioned her choice of wellington boots as riding shoes she had the last laugh when we came to the ford. To be fair we all stayed dry though :-)

She rides again!

She rides again! Today's multi modal exploration was a mix of riding her balance bike, walking/running and riding the trailer, roughly a third of each in a bewildering array of chunks. Her first proper mountain bike trails both in the trailer and on her own bike.

This all came after a couple of miles walking this morning finding an astonishing range of local fauna. Cannock Chase really is an amazing place :-)
