Ok, so the funny crackling sounds, whining and squeaking accompanied by the smell of Scalextric and cooked capacitor would seem to suggest that the telly is no more, it is an ex-TV.
Question is, is 9 years old a good age for a massive plasma screen? Because that's how old it is... #dontfeelrobbed
Depends on usage I guess.

The cynic in me says every day after the warranty runs out is a bonus.
Today's tech and prices, probably not a horrible end at 9yrs. I'm hoping mine makes it 5.
