If she gets the hang of this quickly who knows what kind of rides she will be putting in. She was happily putting in 3-5 miles a day on holiday (with the trailer as an ever present, ever ready bail out if she wanted it before you ring social services!)
Looking forward to finding out :-)

Very cool! Good for her!
ReplyDeleteWow, fast learner. She'll be using clipless pedals by the weekend. #BornToRide
ReplyDeleteOoh, you have a Westfalia?
ReplyDeleteGreat job bringing up the next generation of riders!
Jessica Lucas yes we do, a 1985, left hand drive, German import Sven Hedin, they don't make 'em like they used to. We have just had to replace the boiler a few weeks ago... It was the original boiler!
ReplyDeleteOh, and thanks :-)
Christopher Young has been drooling over those lately, and I've always liked the idea of having one. They seem like a good investment.
ReplyDeleteNo idea about the newer ones, although they review well, but this one is awesome. Original shower room, not a crack, still water tight. Cupboard latches all fine. Beds/seats all roll and fold as they should, we might have got a good one, but it is a really good one :-)
ReplyDeleteThey stopped making the Westfalia in 2003 and now nobody makes a small camper van as far as I know. The Westy is a great platform for cycling adventures.
ReplyDeleteThey have/had a bunch of different models but there are still others doing new van conversions. They tend to have a standard roof though, not a bed up there like ours. I do like some of the stuff Hymer produce, really effective main bed system above the front seats.
