I've got a couple of faulty drives that I'm considering how best to dispose of, one thought is just to leave them in the back of a drawer for ten years as file formats/drivers/interfaces will no doubt have changed 2 or 3 times by then. The alternate involves a big hammer and a drill and I guess will be a lot more satisfying!
Take the players out and do something artistic with them. They are gorgeous! If I had known/remembered then I would have taken more care and would own a lovely ashtray right now #dontsmoke :-)
