Super smart bike anyone?

Super smart bike anyone? Doesn't seem too badly priced and specified, when if the "mesh network" seems a little hopeful. Doubt they would get that much traction.... And blind spot detectors? Not sure...

  1. I see a lot of bicycle related kickstarters. I wish them well. But I am always amazed that the bikes are designed to be nichey-niche bikes. The main selling point here is the tech, but the bike spec'd around it cannot be modified in any meaningful way.

Like to put fenders on your bike? This bike has no mounting points.
Want a rack? Same thing - no mounting points.
Want a drop bar? Out of luck.
Kickstand? Get out of town! It's carbon and any mods can void your warranty.
Want to go off-road? Well 32mm tires are as wide as you can go, so probably not the best idea.

I would think something like their tech would have a better chance of success if each customer could use it on their own preferred kind of bike instead of what amounts to a flat-bar track bike that can take an IGH. If the market for those were all that big, that would be one thing, but those are a very niche market indeed.
