#August150 I'm a mobile bike mechanic (ish)

Well, I don't think todays contribution to #August150 is going to push me to the top of the leader-board but  it might just make a difference in the end.

Yes, as you can see it is two (count them, 2) rides totalling 3.4 miles (not each, but totalling). Not a hugely impressive feat but seeing as my purpose was to go to my dads and sort out his bottom bracket/pedal problem, and identify the squeak on my commuter it was just a way of getting me, my tools and bike up there and back.

It is a proper hill as well to get up there, well, it is about 7% for half a mile but in my defence I had a pannier full of tools and it was pretty heavy :-)

Lovely time up there, spent some of his money on a UN54 bottom bracket and some cheap cranks and all still cheaper than just the bits from the LBS let alone any labour to get off the pedal, and trust me, it is stuck. The non-drive side took the two of us about half an hour of grunting, hammering, mole grips, boiling water, spanners and general mechanical brutality. Beautifully rounded axle, not a single flat to be seen, but still fast on.

So with any luck I might get another 3.4 miles to add in a few days time when it gets delivered :-)
