Still ill (more moaning), but finished the TdF!

Yes, viral infection or no, coughing up blood or not I shall not be denied my moment of glory on the Champs Elysee! OK, it was on Sky+ and I have only just got around to watching it, and I already knew what had happened but still, what a finish by Cavendish!

As I sit here typing away I cannot help be be moved by the sheer power of a viral infection. I know there are probably millions of the little buggers beavering around, but they are tiny. How can they possibly reduce me to pausing for breath once I have got up the stairs? It isn't even that severe an infection if my temperature is anything to go by, only up a bit (according to a 20 year old forehead thermometer, but the old tech is often the best tech).

The biggest pain in the arse though is the "infection control" measures to keep my beautiful and gorgeous wife and daughter (both adjectives apply to both of them in case you were wondering) clear of the danger. Washing my hands every verse end I can live with, sleeping in a different room so I don't cough on anyone I can put up with although I really miss snuggling up knowing the ones I love are nearby but just watching as my wife has to do everything for my daughter is killing me!
It's not that she can't cope, she can cope just fine without me, I just miss doing stuff with my little girl, and yes I do mean burping and nappies and wiping up puke as well and singing songs and playing.

Anyway, it will be gone soon and I can get back to getting in the way of everything again and back to wondering how I will first of all complete the #August150 challenge now and complete the Kielder 100 in (gulp) a months time.
