Rick Horsfield I have had a go with My Tracks, brilliant!

Rick Horsfield I have had a go with My Tracks, brilliant! 6 hour ride today and it used less than a third of the battery. Way better than I have had from other logging apps. Thanks for the tip (now I just need to get fit enough to exploit it).

  1. Nice one! Didn't think it would make any difference to be honest. Not sure what could be different with My Tracks compared to other apps to use so much less power. Think there is less options on My Tracks so that might be it? Covers the most important stuff though.
Glad it's working well & might get you out riding that bit longer.
Good luck with the fitness & enjoy your rides! :)

Oh, does your My Tracks log your 'Moving average speed' & 'Moving time' in the stats? Mine used to but doesn't anymore. It tells you the moving average speed while your riding but not in the stats? Strange.

  2. Didn't look at it whilst I was riding but it doesn't include moving average or speed in the stats in the app. He however I save the file as a gpx, then choose share file, email, it does include them both in the summary in the body of the email, odd...

  3. If you have the voice activated the average speed it tells you is the moving average speed but in the stats it only shows total average speed. It did have the moving total & average before the last update.
Not that important but nice to know.
Wonder if you can email them, I'll have a look.

  4. Yeah I used that when it first appeared, got a lot of my CwmCarn routes recorded and you can save them to display on google maps. I liked the voice stuff, telling me i was ahead of previous rides.
